The empire is currently engaged in war, marking the commencement of battle and conquest in Empier at War 2. This edition introduces several new features, incorporating the "Defender" game model with a real-time strategy (RTS) game model. In essence, players are tasked with developing and defending an urban center, while simultaneously working to obliterate an enemy urban center to secure victory and progress further in the conquest.

The journey begins with a humble camp situated in the southern region of a distant land. Players must commence by gathering essential resources like wood and iron for construction purposes. Subsequently, they can deploy food collectors to enhance their camp and ensure survival. As players progress towards conquest, they can establish miners to gather gold, laying the foundation for a burgeoning village. Through strategic troop development, division formations, and army expansions, players can set out to conquer the "Lost Lands" and ascend to become the Emperor of the known world.

Players can distinguish themselves among other conquerors by adopting a shield emblem that represents their civilization. Primarily, they engage in battles to claim territories, steadily increasing their score for soaring up the global Conqueror rankings.

Strengthening the center's defense is possible by constructing defense towers or staffing it with archer defenders. Facilitating trade allows for exchanging surplus goods for gold or purchasing required items. The expansion of warehouses ensures ample storage space for wood and gold, while increasing the urban center's capacity accommodates a growing army for empire-wide conflicts.
